This month, I designed and delivered a three-part webinar series for small business community lenders in California. The goal of the series was to provide ongoing staff development and increased capacity in lending and financial analysis.
The first webinar covered Profit and Loss statements: quality set-up and how to go about trend and margin analysis.
The second reviewed how lenders look at cash capacity and provided an Excel spreadsheet for a quick assessment of a loan applicant’s ability to make the payments on the loan requested.
The final webinar looked at credit reports through a lender’s eye: what is ‘good’ credit, what is considered a red flag, how to improve a borrower’s credit report. We also walked through a sample credit report to get some hands on practice of assessing the real deal.
